The boomerangs travel in space. They have the potential to come back to their origin, eventually to the same hand. But they also move in time. When they return, they come from the past, like the starlight, connecting time. In their orbits the boomerangs can interact with the environment, emitting sounds and recording lights and memories. Once in the hand, they can be interpreted, recodified and thrown again.
The human language is the paradigm of all artifacts. It enables us to imagine the inside, to create the ego, to commit suicide. The animal doesn’t. It enables us to develop knowledge: from making fire with two stones to Hiroshima. The human language enables us to make tricks, ephemeral or permanent. It enables us to live in the middle of the jungle in a dimension without time, where “yesterday“ and “tomorrow“ mean “another day“ and ”goodnight“ means “don’t sleep, there are snakes“. The human language suffers from the dilemma of its own creation: the artificial intelligence. In this multidimensional range, communication has become impossible or absurd, hybrid, fascinating. There is no band, no orchestra, only vectors like: “resist“, “break through”, “change“, “connect“.
